In addition, Middlesex Asphalt in Central Florida is one of the largest and most productive asphalt plants in the United States with Middlesex Paving earning an equally solid regional presence and reputation. <p> Position Summary: </p><p> The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment, ensuring compliance with company safety policies and procedures and performing routine maintenance. </p><p> Responsibilities: </p><ul><li> Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures, including reporting all accidents, incidents, and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do. </li><li> Complete equipment condition reports and daily checklists for assigned equipment, providing updates to the Project Superintendent daily. </li><li> Perform regular cleaning of machines, including daily sweeping of cabs, trash removal, weekly interior cleaning, and bi-weekly lubrication of doors and windows. </li><li> Understand and follow all Company safety policies and procedures, ensuring the safety of both yourself and those working in your vicinity. </li><li> Monitor and report equipment fuel levels to the Superintendent or Foreman daily to ensure timely refueling. </li><li> Note any needed supplies or issues with the equipment, such as grease, oil, rags, cleaning supplies, or the need for steam cleaning, and inform the Superintendent. </li></ul><p> Qualifications: </p><ul><li>3-5 years of experience operating equipment in Heavy/Civil Construction. </li><li> OSHA 10 certification. </li></ul><p> Necessary Attributes: </p><ul><li> Adaptability to different personalities and management styles. </li><li> Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. </li><li> Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. </li><li> Dedication and hard work with a strong commitment to team success. </li><li> Strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to quality in all tasks performed. </li></ul><p> We offer our full-time and eligible part time team members a comprehensive benefits package that's among the best in our industry.
