If you’re excited by fast growth, big ideas, and building something extraordinary, we’d love to hear from you!</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Glendale, CA</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Reports To: </strong>Planning Director</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p>The Senior Buyer is responsible for building and executing profitable assortments that drive sales, margin, and inventory productivity across multiple channels (DTC, Wholesale, Amazon). This role owns seasonal and in-season buying decisions while leveraging planning insights to optimize inventory flow and replenishment.</p><p><br></p><p>This role requires a seasoned buyer with strong analytical capability, excellent business judgment, and the ability to translate data into decisive buying actions in a fast-paced environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Buying & Assortment Ownership</strong></p><ul><li>Own buys for assigned categories, building balanced assortments that align with brand strategy, customer demand, and financial targets.</li><li>Partner with Merchandising and Planning to incorporate historical performance, trend direction, and future product strategies into buy decisions.</li><li>Identify growth opportunities, white space, and category expansion opportunities.</li><li>Ensure assortments are competitive in price architecture, depth, and flow.</li></ul><p><strong>Financial Management</strong></p><ul><li>Align buys to company and category forecasts to achieve revenue, margin, turn, and inventory productivity goals.</li><li>Monitor business weekly and take in-season actions including rebuys, cancellations, and receipt shifts.</li><li>Maintain disciplined receipt flow to support newness, replenishment, and lifecycle management.</li><li>Track launch timing, receipt flow, quantities, and delivery accuracy to support inventory integrity.</li><li>Partner with internal teams to manage changes, reorders, and delivery shifts as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Replenishment & Demand Planning Insights</strong></p><ul><li>Leverage forecasting and hindsight analysis to inform buys at the collection and size level.</li><li>Review replenishment performance and recommend rebuys and exits.</li></ul><p><strong>Inventory Optimization & Channel Strategy</strong></p><ul><li>Optimize inventory efficiency across channels by identifying transfer opportunities between DTC, Wholesale, and Amazon.</li><li>Monitor sell-through, weeks on hand, and stock balance to maximize revenue and minimize markdown exposure.</li><li>Support strategies that improve working capital and inventory turns.</li></ul><p><strong>Analytics & Business Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Analyze large data sets to generate actionable insights that drive buying decisions.</li><li>Build and maintain tools and reporting in Excel. Use reporting to communicate product performance to key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.</li><li>Identify business performance gaps and recommend corrective actions.</li></ul><p><strong>Cross-Functional Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Partner closely with Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, and Leadership teams.</li><li>Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels on buys, risks, opportunities, and actions.</li><li>Operate with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset in a dynamic environment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience as a senior-level Buyer within a branded, ecommerce / DTC environment (apparel or accessories strongly preferred).</li><li>Strong ownership of assortment strategy, buying execution, and in-season management.</li><li>Working knowledge of demand forecasting, replenishment planning, and OTB process.</li><li>Proven track record of delivering sales, margin, and inventory results.</li><li>Advanced Excel proficiency</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into commercial decisions.</li><li>Creative problem solver with a self-starter mindset.</li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Experience working with business intelligence platforms (eg Tableau) a plus.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><em>Posh Peanut is an equal opportunity employer committed to cultural diversity in the workforce.
